I understand that the Avengers comes out this week, but the latest (and possibly last) trailer for the Dark Knight Rises just got released following their last viral campaign.

I knew the sequel to the Dark Knight was gonna be something special, but watching this trailer just catapults that mindset. I haven’t had felt this much hyped since the TDK trailer first came out, and that speaks LEVELS to the films that came out in recent years.
The reflected image of Bruce Wayne with a cane. Alfred and Bruce inside a holding cell. The breakout of the innmates. The fact that A WHOLE FOOTBALL FIELD IS DESTROYED DURING A LIVE BROADCAST.
And I’ll even say that I feel more hype towards this film over the Avengers movie, only cause the teaser trailer for the latter underwhelmed me when I saw it. Of course I’ll hold my opinion off till I see the actual movie, but as it goes TDKR seems like the better movie. I mean it’s BATMAN NIGGA.
I also love the use sound in this trailer. Hans Zimmer’s haunting score plays eerily in the background while the chanting of the inmates rises (…hah) gradually in the background. Then when Alfred translates the chanting to Bruce, the score picks up with the powerfully thunderous crashing of tomtom drums. With the audio and visual mixing that well together ohmanitbuildsomuchhypeGATDAMNICAN’TWAITFORTHISMOVIE!!!!!
I’m sorry, my geek is showing… yet I have no shame. And until I see the prologue this Friday alongside Ghost Protocol in IMAX, I’ll just be reading Broken Bat 8p
